1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using RaceIQ Live ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

RaceIQ Live is a real-time race intelligence platform designed for indoor cycling, particularly Zwift racing. The Service provides:

• Real-time W'bal (W-prime balance) tracking
• Fatigue-adjusted Critical Power calculations
• Race decision support metrics (matches remaining, time to exhaustion, sprint estimates)
• Power zone monitoring and sustainability indicators
• Integration with Strava for power profile building

The Service is intended to provide decision-support information during cycling races and training sessions. It is not a substitute for professional coaching or medical advice.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To use RaceIQ Live, you must authenticate using your Strava account. By connecting your Strava account, you:

• Confirm you are at least 16 years of age
• Authorize us to access your Strava profile and activity data
• Agree to Strava's Terms of Service in addition to these Terms

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You should not share your authentication credentials or allow others to access your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

3.3 Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in abusive behavior.

4. Subscription and Billing

4.1 Free Tier (RaceIQ Lite)

RaceIQ Lite is available at no cost and includes:

• Live W'bal tracking
• Effective CP (fatigue-adjusted threshold)
• Basic dashboard

4.2 Paid Tier (RaceIQ Pro)

RaceIQ Pro is available for €4.99 per month and includes additional features:

• Matches remaining counter
• Time to exhaustion at current power
• Sprint fatigue estimation
• Recovery stall detection
• Confidence indicator

4.3 Billing

Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually, depending on your chosen plan. Payment is due at the beginning of each billing period. All fees are exclusive of taxes, which may be added where applicable.

4.4 Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation:

• You will retain access to Pro features until the end of your billing period
• Your account will revert to the free tier after the billing period ends
• We do not provide prorated refunds for partial months

4.5 Price Changes

We reserve the right to modify pricing. Any price changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance and will apply to the next billing cycle.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
• Share your account credentials with others
• Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
• Upload malicious code or content

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Content

The Service and its original content (excluding user data), features, and functionality are owned by RaceIQ Live and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

6.2 Your Data

You retain ownership of your personal data and activity information. By using the Service, you grant us a license to process your data as described in our Privacy Policy to provide and improve the Service.

6.3 Feedback

If you provide feedback or suggestions about the Service, we may use this feedback without any obligation to compensate you.

7. Disclaimers

7.1 Not Medical Advice

RaceIQ Live is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. The metrics and recommendations provided are for informational and decision-support purposes only. Always consult a healthcare professional before starting any exercise program or if you have concerns about your health.

7.2 Fitness Disclaimer

The Service provides estimates and predictions based on physiological models. These are approximations and may not accurately reflect your actual physical state. You are responsible for:

• Listening to your body and exercising within your limits
• Making your own decisions about effort and intensity
• Understanding that predictions may be inaccurate, especially with limited data

7.3 "As Is" Service

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

7.4 Service Availability

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RaceIQ Live and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of profits, data, or goodwill
• Physical injury or health issues
• Service interruptions
• Inaccurate predictions or recommendations
• Actions taken based on Service information

Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RaceIQ Live and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another party

10. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services, including Strava. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of third-party services. Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and policies.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and the applicable member state, without regard to conflict of law principles.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
